Happy Birthday, Grounded Growth Studio: What I’ve Learned After One Year in Business
One year ago, I launched Grounded Growth Studio to help founders and growth leaders build marketing that actually works—marketing that’s rooted in strategy, driven by data, and aligned with where the business is right now.
I saw a clear need: companies were looking for someone who could move fast, without sacrificing quality. Someone who could bring structure and clarity, without adding unnecessary complexity. And someone who could bridge the gap between high-level strategy and hands-on execution—without the long lead times or heavy overhead.
That’s where Grounded Growth fits in.
Over the past year, I’ve had the chance to partner with brilliant founders, lean internal teams, and agency collaborators to help drive the kind of momentum that matters: traction that’s intentional, measurable, and tailored to each company’s unique budget, goals, and growth stage.
And along the way, one thing has become crystal clear:
Enter: The Momentum Marketer
Startups move fast. Resources are tight. And marketing often falls into one of two extremes:
Strategy without follow-through
Execution without intention
But there’s a third way—and it’s what Grounded Growth was built on.
I call it the Momentum Marketer.
Not just a strategist. Not just an executor. Someone who drives traction, fast.
The Momentum Marketer brings structure to chaos without overcomplicating things. They move fluidly between big-picture planning and hands-on doing. They cut through noise, keep the team focused on what actually matters, and drive results without constantly needing direction.
That mindset has shaped every project, every proposal, and every client engagement I’ve taken on this past year.
A Few Things I’ve Learned This Year
1. LEAN DOESN’T MEAN LIMITED
You don’t need a massive team or a big budget to make meaningful progress. When marketing is built around your current goals, resources, and stage of growth, it becomes a focused tool—not just busywork. This year, I’ve seen small, intentional efforts outperform bloated campaigns—because they were rooted in clarity and designed to move the needle.
2. Execution is only as strong as the plan behind it
Your social posts, content, and campaigns don’t exist in a vacuum—they’re part of a larger system that should serve real business goals. Marketing should move the needle, not just check a box. That’s why the most successful work I’ve done this year didn’t start with a content calendar or a list of tactics—it started with a conversation.
What are we solving for?
What does success look like?
What does the customer actually care about?
When execution is built on that kind of clarity, the work doesn’t just get done—it gets results.
3. Founders want a partner who gets it
Most early-stage leaders don’t want to just “outsource marketing”—they want someone who understands their business, their vision, and their voice. Someone who can step in quickly, ask the right questions, and translate what makes them different into marketing that actually reflects who they are. The best partnerships I’ve had this year were built on trust and collaboration—because I took the time to learn the business, not just build the funnel.
The 5 Core Traits That Have Defined My Work
As I reflect on this first year, I keep coming back to the qualities that clients say make Grounded Growth different:
Strategic Clarity – Aligning marketing to business goals, fast.
Execution-Oriented – Turning plans into progress, without delay.
Prioritization Pro – Knowing what to do now and what can wait.
Pathfinder – Navigating shifting priorities without losing focus.
Revenue-Focused – Operating like a growth partner, not a task-taker.
These aren’t just buzzwords—they’re the foundation of everything I build.
Looking Ahead
This first year has been full of figuring things out—refining, experimenting, and learning alongside some really incredible people. I’ve helped brands clarify their story, rebuild funnels that actually convert, and launch content that didn’t just fill space—it made a difference.
There’s still so much more I want to build.
If you’re a founder or growth lead looking for a marketing partner who can jump in, get it, and help you make smart progress—even when things are messy—I’d love to connect.

Here’s to year two: more clarity, more traction, and more grounded growth.
Thanks for being part of it.
